☿ Katsu Chicken Wings ☿

Ingredients

1 Onion · peeled
20g Ginger, fresh · peeled
3cloves Garlic
250g Carrots
350g Tomatoes
3tbsp Honey · runny
3tbsp Soy sauce
2tbsp Garam masala
2tbsp Curry powder · mild
1 Red Chillies · Just one small hot chilli!
12wings Chicken
Oil, Sunflower · as necessary
400ml Stock cubes, chicken · or fresh if available

Method

The destiny of the onion, ginger, garlic, carrots, tomatoes, honey, and soy sauce? A food processor. Bzzzzzzzzt!

Time for some heat. Add the garam masala, the curry powder, and the chilli kicker, then blitz until you have a paste.

Fry the paste for 5 minutes. Add the chicken wings, and lightly brown them for 8-10 minutes, adding oil as necessary.

Once the wings are looking healthy, add the chicken stock and simmer for 30 minutes.

To finish up, remove the wings to a separate frying pan on a moderate heat, and crisp them, before serving with the sauce.
