Aspects

The angles between two bodies — and what the tradition read into them.

An aspect is the angular relationship between two points in a chart. The tradition recognised five major aspects, each with a settled character — harmonious or discordant — that colours whatever two bodies it joins.

Every reading below is built from public-domain sources — Ptolemy, Lilly, and their successors — combined by the classical rules of the tradition rather than lifted from any modern author. Each carries its citations, and the older, more deterministic readings are given as attributed history, not prediction.
